Parking
The nearest parking to the Attraction is a public pay and display car park on Rayrigg Road. From here simply cross the road, take the second entrance to the building – a passageway to the left straight after the steps up to the Attraction and enter the Attraction via our new one-way system. There is also a pay and display car park on Lake Road next to The Royalty Cinema as well as a very large car park Braithwaite Fold on the Glebe (a 10 minute walk from the Attraction).
Street parking is also available, but spaces are limited and restricted to 1 hour.
(Regarding parking: we recommend you allow yourself 2 hours+ for your visit to include time to see the Attraction, browse in the shop and enjoy the cafe).
Families with wheelchairs or pushchairs coming from Rayrigg Road car park can avoid the steps by taking the second entrance to the building – a passageway to the left straight after the steps up to the Attraction. Please note this route is steep as we are situated on a hill.
