Educational Visits for Schools
A visit to the World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction is a unique educational trip, and we welcome school groups from nursery upwards to experience the magic of the Attraction and find out more about the fascinating story of Beatrix Potter. The much-loved stories can be linked to many areas of the National Curriculum. Topic work based around this amazing lady can provide a wealth of learning opportunities for pupils of primary age. So whether you are focussing on Literacy, Art, History or Science, or simply want some enjoyable learning out of the classroom, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to find out more.
Meeting Miss Potter & Peter Rabbit
For an additional fee, School groups can book an appearance from our Peter Rabbit character or meet our knowledgeable actress who plays Beatrix Potter. Miss Potter talks to the children as if she is Beatrix Potter – about her life and her career as a writer, farmer and conservationist.
Dressed in costume recreated from original photographs, she can tailor her performance to suit your visit. You can time travel with her in the Attraction or perhaps enjoy storytime in the Garden making it a truly memorable visit.
Currently, we have limited availability for Beatrix Potter Appearances.
A Peter Rabbit private appearance for your group costs £25, or £60 for Beatrix Potter.
Free garden tour
Take a walk through Mr McGregor’s potting shed with our Gardener and discover the gardens that Beatrix wrote about and illustrated in her Tales. See where Benjamin Bunny nibbled on the gooseberry bush and where Peter got caught in a net as he tried to escape Mr McGregor. You’ll find out that Peter is in fact more partial to radishes than carrots!
Tours must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
