Our sustainability journey

Beatrix Potter was a pioneer of conservation. She loved life in the Lake District and became a prominent member of the farming community. Over the years she bought a large amount of local land, which she later left to the National Trust. Here at the Attraction, we’re working hard to minimise our impact on the environment. Since 2022, we have donated 10 pence of every entrance ticket to Cumbria Wildlife Trust to plant trees in Eycott Hill Nature Reserve. Our visitors have already helped us raise over £26,000 which is enough money to plant well over 2000 trees and we hope to add many more to this.
